The West Tampa Attic Series, a limited-edition project from West Tampa Tobacco Co. spearheaded by master blender Rick Rodriguez, embarks on a personal journey through Rodriguez’s 30-year career. This series showcases blends meticulously crafted and kept “locked away” in Rodriguez’s creative “attic.”
Key Features of the Series
Concept: Each release in the series tells a story from Rodriguez’s life and family history. Often, there are “Easter eggs” in the packaging that reference his heritage.
The Debut (“Attic”): The first installment, simply titled Attic, was released in late 2022.
Storytelling Technology: Each cigar’s foot band features a large QR code. When scanned, it takes you to a video of Rick Rodriguez explaining the story behind that specific blend.
