The CAO Amazon Basin is a highly coveted, limited-edition cigar renowned for its exclusive use of rare Brazilian Bragança tobacco. This tobacco is meticulously harvested once every three years in remote regions of the Amazon rainforest.
The “Amazonian” Process
The production of this cigar is renowned for its labor-intensive and rustic nature.
- Harvesting: Tobacco seeds are planted in the wild, wherever sunlight reaches the rainforest floor, rather than in traditional rows.
- Fermentation: After harvesting, the leaves are hand-rolled into compact, pressurized tubes called carottes for a six-month period of natural fermentation.
- Transportation: The fermented tobacco is transported out of the jungle by canoe before being shipped to the STG Estelí factory in Nicaragua for further production.

The cigar boasts a 5-country blend meticulously crafted to showcase the distinctive characteristics of the Bragança leaf.
